The client

If you have been fortunate enough to be spellbound upon hearing someone speak, then you realize the value of a speaker who is able to transform and inspire entire audiences. Speechless is a platform that takes the guesswork out of selecting the best speakers for your events, by bringing to you the most successful and credible storytellers.

The challenge

Our role in helping Speechless achieve their goals was to envision a recognizable logo and find a creative direction that would not only enhance their vision, but also translate the importance of good speakers.

The solution

The aim was to craft a brand identity as compelling as the act of storytelling itself. We took inspiration from great speakers and how they motivate and inspire audiences. This was reflected in the bold and meaningful feel of the renewed brand identity. For the logo we combined a mic with a speech bubble emphasizing the brand's goal once again.

Ideation & sketches

We brainstormed and iterated multiple variations of rough logos and pencil sketches. After the initial meeting and discussing the options with them, we settled on a dynamic and recognizable logo concept.

Visual identity across the brand

Towards the end we delivered a detailed brand identity across the board, covering every type of material that might have been used for the brand envisioning process by presenting concepts for several channels, including the website header, mobile app splash, business deck, and marketing cards.

What they’re really asking: Do you understand what UX is and isn’t (and how it fits into the bigger picture)?

While the terms UI and UX are sometimes used interchangeably (or lumped together), they represent distinct roles in the product development process. Make sure you can communicate the difference between a product looking good (UI) and working effectively and efficiently (UX).

If you’ve worked with a UI or graphic designer before, this would be a good time to talk about that collaboration and division of labor.
